This place was amazing. Ceasar, the owner/waiter/cook, was delightful. The food was top notch. The pancakes were crisp yet fluffy. Bacon was cooked to perfection.
Two meals cost us less than 14$USD.
Ceasar was friendly and talked with us the entire time. He actually convinced us to go to a different beach and to take a side road because there is usually traffic (He saved us +2hrs!)
Thank you Ceasar! We will be coming back -

If you're looking for a good breakfast in a low vibe setting, you'll like Azul. Being located away from the beach and major streets, it's void of crowds which is why we returned.
FOOD:
Fruit Plate Seasonal - $3.25 USD
The spouse's dish. In addition to the fruits, the bowl was also topped with yogurt and granola. The spoonful I had was fresh & delicious. Generous portion for the price.
Vegetarian Omelet - $5.00 USD
Don't judge me as I added bacon (and not charged for it) to the mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach and asparagus-filled omelet. Gotta have a salty meat with my eggs! Fluffy and folded, it also came with a few sticks of crispy seasoned salt steak fries and fresh melon.
SERVICE:
Down home and friendly! Love the ladies here who always take excellent care of us.

Amazing.
The menu isn't very big however there are some distinctive selections you won't find in many places.
I am at a bit of a disadvantage in that I don't particularly like eggs. I went with the pancakes, thinking ok, what can go wrong with pancakes?
Wow, hands down the best, fluffiest, crisp on the edges soft in the middle mildly sweet pancakes that I have ever had. The orange juice was fresh squeezed and the bacon crisp.
The wife went for the fruit/yogurt/granola plate with orange juice and was very pleased with the fresh taste and selection.
Service is great, very personable and attentive.
While my goal this trip is to try as many new places as I can, I will go back tomorrow (Saturday), the one night Cesar (currently) does dinner because what he described sounds amazing. I can't wait to taste it.
Update: Saturday night's dinner was beyond amazing. A chef's fixed menu featuring dish from the south central Mexico (Pueblo) that was described as initially a desert for kings with Cesar's own spin. It starts with a mild poblano pepper, stuffed with bits of fresh and dried fruits and seasoned ground pork and beef. It is covered with his own sauce that is incredible. Served at room temperature, it delivers a symphony of flavors that are a total delight to the taste.
The three course meal started with a salad with lettuce, dried cherries or cranberries? cheese and nuts with a sweet balsamic vinegar on top. Dessert was an incredible rice pudding - my wife was almost giddy with delight to get it. Two of our best friends from Arizona came to be with us this week and they shared in our unanimous opinion of this being one of the best meals we've had.
The wife had a margarita and rates it also very high on her list.
He is currently only doing dinner on Saturday evening with limited seating - be wise, call ahead and secure reservations so you don't miss out.
It's a bit tucked away and kind of hard to find - definitely worth the effort however. -

The owner told me come back and I'll do it for you that was really nice . so far this is the best food I ever tried here in Puerto Vallarta. The atmosphere is what I also like
